wedding firsts

A couple of weeks ago I was the photographer for a wedding. I was pretty nervous when they asked me and even up to the day, but when it all started happening it went pretty smoothly. I will say it didn't go perfect, and I learned quite a few things from it. So I was grateful for the opportunity, but also felt bad that they had to be my first. BUT, someone has to be your first right?
The couple was a beautiful couple and very photogenic, so it made my job even that much easier.

So here are some of my favorites, and I am showing you also, so that you may give me tips and pointers and criticism of any kind. Please, and thank you.
I really like both
The ceremony was here in Papillion at the brides parents house, and where they lived made me long for my home where I grew up in Huntsville. Out in the boonies. Nothing better.
This was her one request, sunset pictures. This one was taken probably 10 mins or so before the next ones.
While driving up to their house, on a dirt road, there was this little "corn shed" off on the side of the road. And I guess you could say, that this was my one request.

So there you go. Lessons learned: make sure you are in the right shooting mode, make sure your lens and camera is free from debris from cleaning it earlier, and watch where the bride is holding her bouquet. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. :)

baseball begins

Last weekend they had the opening ceremonies for the baseball season to begin. We signed Livy up for T-ball this year (hoping it would motivate Jaedon to want to play), and it is now in full "swing"
Livy is the only girl on her team

Jaedon is playing coach pitch this year so we will see if he likes it a little better.
 Jaedon's first game

 Livy's first game.
She doesn't look too excited in this picture, but she really did have fun.

6 months or is it 7

Ever since Jack turned 6 months old I have been meaning to get pictures. I just hadn't found the time, so now that he is creeping up on almost 7 and a half months old. I better get 'em done.
Then when we got him out there on the grass he would not smile for anything. And his eyes were squinty. Oh well, at least I got some that will work. They may all be serious, but they work.

milestones- sitting and crawling

Make sure to watch the video first before reading

I thought this was fitting being April's Fools Day.
Have you realized yet that that wasn't Jack? :)

The first clip of Jaedon sitting up is about the age of Jack right now. As Jack has gotten older I have told myself that he looks a lot like Jaedon did as a baby. But when we saw the videos of Jaedon, I couldn't believe how close they actually are in looks, and mannerisms. The kids even have a hard time telling them apart. When I was playing the video of Jaedon the kids kept saying, "Hey there's Jack."

Here is Jack making his debut of learning to crawl. It is crazy how one day they all of a sudden just pick up something and they are off.

Our newest family member

We might be crazy...

but this is Jimmer.
He is a Havanese and just the cutest littlest puff ball there is. We got him on Saturday and he has been so much fun.
