8 years

Today I have been married to the best, greatest, most wonderful man for 8 years.

He would be even greater though if he would sneak me home some pitocin. ;)

Each year together brings more happiness and joy. And I love him more than words can describe. So grateful that I can be with him through this life, and through out eternity.

preschool part 1

I say 'part 1' because Livy will go to 2 years of preschool since she has a September birthday.

But today Livy had her first day. (She missed the actual first day due to she was in Utah for Phil's wedding). She was, and has been SO excited to start.

Here she is with her teacher. She then has 2 other ladies that are aids that help out. I didn't get one bit teary eyed or even really have any sad feelings of her going. But Sofia on the other hand had a little bit of a hard time.

first grade

Today marks the start of another school year. I can't believe that Jaedon is all ready in first grade. He has been so excited to start though. His one hope, and request is that he got a teacher that had desks and not tables. And he got a teacher with desks. So he is a happy kid.

I think the best part of the day though was when they went out later today in the backyard and found this big toad.

camping 2 rivers

We went camping Friday night. The kids have been asking and asking to go, and so we finally just did it.

We realized that this was the first time that Sof had been camping. She was a trooper, but kept taking her shoes off and walking around barefoot every where.3 little happy campers There were little lakes all around this state park, and the one we were next to was the swimming one, but you could fish there as well.

This was Jaedon's first go at fishing. We of course didn't get anything, but he was SOOO excited to go fishing. That was the very first thing he wanted to do.

When we got back from fishing we went and played around on a little playground area they had there. On the way back from the playground we spotted this little guy.

Jaedon named it "Keeper", because he wanted to keep it. The next day we hit up swimming in the lake. Sof is crying because she wanted to be in the water and not posing for the silly camera.

It was a little cold, but not too bad, and you got used to it quickly.

Jaedon was seeing how far out he could get. And then Livy wanted me to take a picture of her.

Jon insisted on getting pictures of me. So here is your profile pic of the big Buddha belly. After seeing this, the baby sure is sitting high. And then we tried getting one of all us in the lake. Sofia was sad because she wanted me to hold her, because moments before she decided to see how far out she could get in the water, and give mom quite a scare. She is definitely our no fear child. Livy has lost interest and is looking else where, and Jaedon, well who knows what the kid is doing.

Being 36 weeks pregnant and going camping was not all that bad. It was hot and sweaty, and I had an air mattress to sleep on, but having to wake up 3 times during the night and go to the bathroom in the woods, wasn't the greatest. Oh well, I did it for the happiness of my family, and the kids definitely had a good time and did not want to leave. I think that means we need to go camping more.

county fair

Last night we ventured out to the Sarpy County fair. To me it was a little fair, compared to my county fairs, but it was about the size of Jon's county fair that he grew up with. The kids had a good time as well, and next year we think that they will have to enter something in it.

Sofia was great with all the animals. She would walk down the aisles and wave and say hi to all of them. UNTIL we went into the bird exhibit. Some of the chickens were being pretty noisy clucking away, and it freaked Sofia out. So we distracted her with the bunnies.

We of course had to go on some of the rides. Not quite like Hershey Park, but good enough. Of course we had to go on the roller coaster and let Jaedon get his fix. We then went to the Rodeo, and was having a great time until a storm decided to roll in. We did have covered seating, but with the wind, the rain was coming in sideways and the roof didn't help at all. The kids were huddled down behind us, and we were drenched in a matter of seconds. It is hard to see the rain in this picture, but it was coming down pretty heavy for a good portion of the rodeo. The power went out as well within the first couple of minutes of starting, but they still continued on, until intermission when it was too dark to see, and they still didn't have the power back on, so they finally cancelled it.

With all that happened though, it was still fun and we had a great time.
