old to new

Here is the last of my "nesting" projects that I wanted to get done before the baby comes. I washed these cushions, and apparently they are not supposed to be washed in the washer. So along the seams, which you can't really see in the picture, they all have come undone and unraveled. The poor chair has been neglected, and has been like this for about a year. And I have had the material for it for about 3-4 months.

So here is the before...
and here is the after.

I put some extra padding on the bottom cushion as well. And so now it is nice and plush.

preschool graduation

Jaedon had his Preschool graduation last night. It is always fun to see little 3 to 4 year olds get together and do stuff. This also is Jaedon's last year with having Bryn as his teacher. We are sad that they are leaving, but excited for the new adventures they are taking on. Thanks Bryn for all you do. Jaedon sure loves you (and Londyn), you have had such an impact on his life and have taught him so much. Thanks again! Here is a little video of them singing some songs, it is kind of long, but entertaining. And I was afraid that Jaedon was going to be his shy-self and clam up, but he did really well.

Getting his hat and tassle.

Disney on Ice

We went to Disney on Ice last night. It was very fun and Jaedon said that he had a fun time too. But from the look on his face in the pictures, you may think otherwise. I think Jaedon and Livy were just REALLY taking it all in. Jaedon said his favorite was Snow White. It probably would have been Sleeping Beauty though, if she would have been there.

Of course the night started out with going to eat at McDonald's!
Just before the show was ready to start
This was about the only time that Jaedon somewhat had a smile and different expression...

it was when Beauty and the Beast characters came out.

And this is the expression they had most of the night on their cute little faces.

Snow White... apparently Jaedon's favorite of the night.

And I have to show this one, because if you look close, it looks like Violet has her force field around her. This is not what it looked like when they were skating around, there must have been some glare right at that moment that created it when I took a picture. But definitely made for a cooler picture.

And at the very end they had fireworks, and Jaedon got kind of scared with that.

Easter fun and Easter dress

Livy enjoying some of her Easter candy
On Saturday it rained in the morning, but come afternoon it was sunny, and somewhat warm. So we decided to hit up Springtime in Hershey Park. Jaedon was SO excited to be able to go to Hershey Park finally after a long winter break from it. Livy wasn't too sure about the pirate boat ride
I think I love Easter just for the cute new church clothes that I can get for Jaedon and Liv. They had to have their cameras to take pictures as well. And both were throwing fits if we took them away. So that is why they are holding their cameras in the pictures.
Jaedon has started making this face now when we take pictures. What a goof ball.

the last of the hunts

Yesterday we had the last of our Easter Egg Hunts. We first went to the Hershey Outlets, where I thought it wasn't going to be too bad this year, because they changed the date (because of weather last week). So my thinking was that it is going to be on a Friday at 10, so most of the parents probably have to work, so it probably won't be as crowded... OH BOY WAS I WRONG!!! It was the most packed sea of people that I have ever seen. Poor Livy got so scared with all the people that I had to hold her the whole time while Jaedon tried making his way through the mass of people.

Afterwards, as we were driving home... waiting forever to get out of the parking lot, I figured it was probably so packed because the kids were probably on Easter break, and Hershey Park was open for Easter weekend as well. So people probably were making a day of it.
Then later that day we had our big Easter Egg Hunt with some of our friends.
Hiding the BIG egg...
And of course we had the PINATA!!
Jaedon painted it this year, (other than the big circles)
Then this morning, the Easter Bunny dropped off some goodies for Jaedon and Livy.
Livy LOVES strollers!! Every time we are at someones house that has one she plays with it the WHOLE time. And so naturally, this morning, she hasn't let go of thing.
These toys that I got for Jaedon, I got at Wal-Mart on their sale isle. Just guess how much they cost!? The dress up stuff is an Eon Kid, which I don't know who it really is, but it only cost a dollar!

Then this Fisher Price Race Car driver helmet was normally 35, but it was only 2 DOLLARS!!

We hope everyone has a great Easter!!

another hunt and some sewing

Today we were supposed to have 2 Easter egg hunts, but one of them got moved to another day due to weather. But there was still one that was going to be on whether rain or shine, so of course we were there. This one is put on by the Township, and it seems like every year, it is blasted cold! I didn't get many pictures because it was so cold, and I was the one out there helping my frozen children pick up eggs. The pictures don't really show too much of how WINDY and cold it was. I think if it wasn't so windy, it wouldn't have been so bad. Jon, kept asking if it was really worth it to be freezing to death, just so that we could get a handful of candy. Probably not, but we will always remember it!

Then I finally got around to some of my sewing projects that I wanted to do. These little dresses are made out of bandannas. SO easy! Seriously took less than 15 mins. to do. But when I put them on Liv, the first thought that came to mind was, "They look like miniature moo-moos." And then the ribbons are supposed to be in bows, which makes them look a lot cuter, but Livy liked to grab at them and pull them, so they are just in knots.
I kind of have my own little tradition, that is, with each child I make them a little quilt. This one I tried a couple of different things. I did a ruffle edge, and then did the fray blocks. Which all went pretty smoothly. I kind of wondered about the yellow though, but I think I really like it.
