apartment

Here are some pictures to kind of give you an idea of our living arrangements. Gotta love the brick!!

There is no dishwasher, and the stove/oven isn't a full size one. Even putting a 9x13 pan in you have to be careful not to burn your fingers on the sides of the oven!

You can't really see what the bathroom looks like, but Jaedon's face was too good to pass up.

And here is the playground right outside. The door has to be locked at all times if we are inside or else Livy is out the door and exploring, and wandering into our neighbors apartments.

The master bedroom is a little weird shaped. It is a long rectangle, and I didn't put any pictures up because it was kind of messy. But there is definitely a ton of storage space here. The carpet is your "industrial" carpet. No padding, just laid over the cement flooring. Livy has all ready had some bonks and dings from falling too. Which also makes me not looking forward to when the baby will start to be mobile.

update...

Just so you all know. Everything is going well, and the baby is fantastic! Probably a little too fantastic in her swimming pool in my belly. :) We had another NST (non-stress test) yesterday and today, and she was reactive and doing well. The funny thing is, that there is so much fluid in there that she would move, but I couldn't feel it, but I could see my belly move. Lovely! Also I meet the criteria to be induced at 39 weeks!! But the bad part about that is not sure when to really schedule it because Jon has his exam for his Family Medicine rotation on Friday morning, and then that Monday he has a clinical exam test for Step 2 of the boards that he has to take down in Philly. But hopefully maybe she will just come on her own sometime this next week! :)

alot to handle

As most of you know we moved this past week, and it all went pretty good. We moved on Saturday, well, at least all of our big stuff. And then we spent Monday and Tuesday moving odds and ends of things. Wednesday I spent getting the new apartment all put together. Then on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I spent cleaning the old apartment. Good news is we will get all of our deposit back, but boy was I worn out. My ankles and feet have become quite swollen as well. I really thought all of the moving would "move" the baby to come into this world a little earlier, but nothing! (I will have to post pictures later of the new apartment) It has it's ups and downs, but of course that is the case with all apartments. We do love the extra space though, and Jaedon and Liv LOVE the playground that is literally just feet outside our front door.

I had another ultrasound today and apparently there is such a thing as having too much fluid, which was something new to me. She was measuring 7 lbs. 14 oz. (give or take a pound) so I am sure she is a GOOD 8 pound kiddo. They then ordered me to go and have a non-stress test done on the baby. Well, she failed, so then they did another ultrasound where they measured the movement of the baby and her practicing breathing. So now I have to go and do non-stress tests twice a week on top of my O.B. appointments. I am 37 weeks, which is considered full term. I have a Dr's appointment on Thursday and I am curious to what the doctor will say.
Here are some pictures that my little buddy took of the BIG belly.

Words can't explain how great this man is!
And how much he loves his family...and how much his family loves him! Happy Father's Day!

LOCK THE DOOR!!

I had a doctors appointment yesterday. And the first thing you do is go and check in. Then they like for you to go use the bathroom and leave them a fun little sample in a cup. (Which is very difficult for a very large pregnant woman to do!). Well, as I was walking to the bathroom, the door was closed, but it looked like the lights weren't on. So I slowly turned the door knob, and it just kept turning. So I proceeded to open the door, which then as the toilet came into view there was a lady sitting there and hunched over to hide what only her and her husband should ever see. She then says very loudly, "EXCUSE ME!!" Which I then quickly tried to close the door for her sake and mine. BUT, she had put her purse over the handle of the door, so when I was trying to close the door, of course the purse was stopping the door from closing all the way. So I had the door closed as much as I possibly could with the purse there, and then proceeded to push the purse back in and away while closing the door. During this time, the lady waddled up to the door and grabbed the door handle from inside and SLAMMED my hand in the door! (It was more of my palm, so it didn't hurt to terribly bad, but still a shocker.) Finally the door was closed and I walked back into the waiting room and found a seat.

(This is not what the door looked like, nor did it have that convenient 'Vacant' sign on it)
As I sat there, I thought how awkward it is going to be when she comes out. Well, she took another good while. As I was looking one way I noticed someone walking from the other direction and so naturally I looked to see if it was the lady or not. Well, it was. As I looked at her while she passed by to find a seat of her own, she rolls her eyes and gives quite the scowl and tells me, "WELL, GO AHEAD!" I just stood up calmly and walked into the bathroom with a smirk on my face thinking. "WELL, LOCK THE PICKIN' DOOR!" Some people! So as I am in the bathroom, I am thinking of how it is still going to be awkward and weird to go out there, because she will probably just sit there with that ugly scowl on her face and roll her eyes again at me. And who knows what she would say. Luckily as I walked out of the bathroom the Medical Assistant was ready for me, and then weighed me on the scale right there by the bathroom. So I was relieved that I wouldn't have to face that lady again. OH NO! As I am getting off the scale she is walking back with another Medical Assistant to come and get weighed. And OF COURSE she has one of her dirty looks for me. I was laughing inside about this and just could not believe this lady! So then we go into our room, and the assistant takes my blood pressure, and I told her the story. She had a good laugh about it as well, and couldn't believe this lady either. Then, when my doctor came in she asks, "Were you in a rush to get here or walking really fast to come in?" Which I replied, "No, why?" "Well, your blood pressure was a little high." Which then a huge smile came across my face and I said, "Well, it probably is due to the bathroom incident." Which I then proceeded to tell her the story. She then had my blood pressure checked again at the end of the appointment, and all is well. Lesson learned: Always make sure the door is locked, because it is no one elses fault except your own if someone opens the door on you while you are sitting there on your throne!

last week

I feel like I have been neglecting the blog lately. We have been up to stuff, but just random things here and there. Jon finished up a rotation for Family Medicine out in Ronks (it is by Lancaster), and so on Friday we took a little trip to Lancaster to deliver some goodies to the doctor and nurses there. Of course there was shopping involved since we just happened to be driving past the outlets. :) We also hit up Chuck E Cheese's and McDonald's. Jaedon's 2 most favorite places to visit. Saturday was also filled with a free ice cream cone, a baptism, and of course Hershey Park. It is becoming a Saturday ritual lately to hit up Hershey Park on Saturday it seems.
I have just 5 more weeks left!! I really thought that I would be patient with this one and its arrival. Considering I would have two other little ones to be chasing after all ready, but it seems the closer it is getting the more and more I am just ready to be done with this pregnancy! I am not a very patient person and so pregnancy is definitely a trying time for my patience.
We move this weekend, hence the title of the post. But the other day when Jaedon and Liv were outside playing, I got kind of sad that we would be leaving this little apartment. It really would have worked out more nicely to just be able to move next year when we are all done, instead of moving this year, and then move next year again! Oh well, I guess we do what we have to do and take what life has to offer us one stride at a time.
