Trick OR Treat

Today was the day our part of the state went Trick-or-Treating. So I thought we better get a pumpkin carved. I let them pick the face and then we went to work.

Jaedon didn't really want to stick his hand in there...

He liked it, but then quickly acted like it was gross. After Jaedon's reaction Livy wasn't quite too sure... still not very sure. The finished product of our "Wacko Jacko" "Livy smile." "no" "Livy just smile real quick" "no""Livy smile, and then you can get a treat."

This house had fun decorations. You can't tell from the picture but the ghost moved around and they had fake smoke blowing...very fun.

Livy must be a Jones because as soon as she got home she dumped everything out of her sack. My kind of girl!

parade

Monday night we went to a Halloween Parade. Jaedon's preschool had entered a float and so Jaedon was going to be in it. Their theme was "Future leaders", so that is why he is dressed up in a suit and tie. But the bad mom that I am, didn't find out exactly where this park was that they were supposed to meet. So Jaedon ended up not being in the parade, but I think he was more excited to get the candy any way.

I had to put this one in as well, because it just made me chuckle with all of their expressions. Sofia was entertained a good part of the parade with her blanket.

Halloween Hunt

On Saturday morning the Outlets had their annual Halloween egg hunt. I was afraid that they wouldn't be able to do it, because it had been raining the day before, and the forecast said that it would be rainy all day Saturday as well. But the morning was actually great weather. It was even warm. They are not in their costumes though because I thought it was going to be too wet and cold, but when we got outside, it was actually almost too warm for a sweater. So sorry, but costume pictures to come soon with the rest of the weeks Halloween activities...

birthday

On th 15th I celebrated my 29th birthday! It was a good day, other than it was raining. But we all went as a family to go out and eat. Well about 15 mins after sitting down and getting settled, Sofia ERUPTED!! Threw us totally off guard, because she has never thrown a fit like that before. Jon and I took turns with her in the car so we could eat. And she was not backing down one bit. The other two kids were quite pleasant, thank goodness. But as soon as we started driving home she fell asleep and was just fine. But it made it all worth it after I got my birthday cake. It is a cheesecake from Brownstone Cafe. IT IS THE BEST CHEESECAKE EVER!! Jaedon and Livy put on the candles. :)

Then after all that cheesecake I need, or rather get to, burn it off on this little baby! Looks so innocent... right!?

fall festival

Jon was on call this Saturday, so I decided to pack up the kids and take them to a Fall Festival that a local Nursery was having. There was all sorts of free things to do and the kids had a blast.

I don't think they were too sure about the straw. Then a scarecrow came and read them some stories. Pumpkin bowlingCorn TossLivy didn't get it quite at first...almost...got it!

Face painting. When the lady asked what Jaedon wanted, Jaedon said, "a bug." Then the lady says, "a Ladybug?" Which of course Jaedon said yes to. But who asks if a boy wants a Ladybug when he asks for a bug!!? Oh well.
