a joyous reunion

We are one big happy family again! Jon got home last night, and we were all so excited to see him. When he came walking out I said to the kids, "I see dad!" To which they both got really excited and started looking all over for him. Jaedon kept saying, "I don't see him!" And I kept saying "He is right there." Livy just had this big smile and kept saying, "Daddy!", but she hadn't spotted him yet either. Finally with Jon like 3 yards away, he said, "HEY!" and then Jaedon recognized him and went running up to him. It still took Livy a little bit to finally recognize him. But they were both so excited to see him! (And I have to admit it took me a minute as well to recognize that it was him.) :)

Waiting for dad
I have never seen this before, but the airport had all of these Amish rocking chairs for people waiting. They were pretty comfy and Jaedon quite enjoyed them. Only in Pennsylvania. Livy just kept saying, "Daddy!" "Daddy!"
Livy did not want to be put down! She has been daddy's girl ever since he got home, and even has thrown a fit this morning because Jon picked up Sofia and not her. It is so nice to have him home!

Liv's birthday

Here are some pics of Livy's birthday. As you will be able to tell...she was REALLY excited!!
I had plans of having a Cinderella theme birthday with a Cinderella cake. But every time that I would ask Livy what she wanted for her birthday she would always say, "uhh...cuk-cakes!" So instead of having a Cinderella cake, she got a GIANT cupcake!

I forgot some things...

This cute thing is now 2, almost 2 1/2 months old! At her 2 month appointment on Monday she weighed 14.9 lbs. and was 25 inches long. Which both were off the charts!
(Thanks to my mom for the picture. And thanks to Jenni for the darling sweater!)
Also if you click on the picture and blow it up you can see Sofia's long scraggly hairs sticking straight up on her head, and also she has some long eyelashes.

some things

Jaedon and Livy have been playing with the dress-ups again...It is always interesting what they can come up with. My mom and dad came out on Friday the 11th. After we picked them up we headed over to Inner Harbor and let my mom indulge in all the crab legs that she wanted at Philips. SO GOOD!! Then Saturday we headed off to Amish country and the markets. Then on Monday of course we had to hit up Chocolate World and enjoy all the chocolate. Then Tuesday my dad was leaving that evening so we went to Chuck E. Cheese's! I hadn't taken any pictures the whole time my dad had been here, and I thought I better get some to document him being out here. Here they are playing the jungle safari game. Grandma Jones and Livy had quite the time as well. Where is Grandpa and Jaedon? OH, there they are still playing the safari game until they had concurred it. (I actually helped my dad finish, because Jaedon's attention span was a little short, and he wanted to go and play other games.)
Then we headed off to 5 Guys for some very good burgers and fries. Thanks Grandpa Jones, for coming and visiting and playing with us. We love you and miss you. Livy asks where "bompa dones" is every day..., and multiples times a day. :)

first day of preschool

Today was Jaedon's first day of preschool. The kid has been SO dang excited. Last night we went and met his teachers and checked out the classroom. The night before though I had told him that we would be going to meet his teachers and be going to his preschool...bad mistake. The poor kid couldn't go to sleep! Then when he woke up he came walking out with his book bag in hand and was ready to go (all he had on was his underwear). So again, last night it took him a little bit to fall asleep again. I love it that he loves school so much.

Here he is for his first day of preschool photo shoot.
Liv had to get in on the action as well.
"I'm so excited!"He is really, really excited for preschool. Can you tell? After preschool was all done, standing by his cubby and still had a smile on his face.
Studly walking to the van with his man bag!

sofia smiles

Sofia can just make your day when you can get cute little smiles like this out of her. The little part at the end of the video is what I get to wake up to every morning. Best way to start the day!

sisters

I realized the other day that Sofia and Livy had somewhat matching jammies. Which is interesting because Sofia's was a gift from our good friends, and Livy's I had gotten about a week or so earlier. But trying to get them to smile at the same time was about impossible.

Jaedon had to have a turn as well.
