Easter

Last Friday evening we got the milk jugs out and the kids made their Easter baskets.

I first did Sof's because she wasn't showing any interest in it, but then she finally decided to come color. All the wonderful Easter baskets all personalized to their liking, ready for the Easter Bunny.Saturday morning when they woke up they were so excited to go and find their baskets, and see what the Easter Bunny had brought.

Jaedon then had a baseball game, which will be posted tomorrow. But when we got home, and had some lunch, we had our Easter egg hunt. Jaedon found the BIG egg almost immediately. They were all so excited to find some eggs.
Then on Sunday they all got dressed up in the Easter attire.

It's a...

Friday after getting back from our vacation, we had our ultrasound to find out what we would be having. I have always felt that it would be a boy. Even after I had Sofia I felt like our next one would be a boy. But that morning I thought what if it is a girl? That means that we would have to have one more because I feel that there is a little boy waiting to join our family. But then if I had 5 kids that would just throw my numbers off, and then I would have to have 6 kids. Which I do not want to do.
But luckily for us, or me, it is a boy and our numbers will be even as can be. 2 boys and 2 girls.
Now to try and figure out a name for this kiddo. Boy names are so hard for us.

vacation part 2

The second stop on our vacation was in Kansas City at the Great Wolf Lodge. It was a vacation of lodges. This fun clock tower is in the lobby and the animals do a story and song thing which I will explain later.
They have a game you can play called the Magi Quest, which you get a magic wand to play and have the pictures and screens respond to you. Outside our room was a TV screen of a dragon sleeping and the kids would always tip-toe by it not to wake him. this is also part of the game. They had this big screen and then right behind me was one of a dragon that you would have to fight and kill. We then made our way down to the water park that is in the hotel. It was very fun and the kids loved it. Jaedon and Sofia loved the slides, and Livy loved the hot tub.
They also have an arcade room, which reminded me a lot of Chuck E. Cheese. We need to take Livy to Casinos because this girl has unbelievable luck. We first did a game where you spun a huge wheel (like the one off of Price is Right) and if you got it in this little 3 inch area you could win 100, 200, or 400 tickets. Well Livy got a hundred. Then Jon took her over to play Deal or No Deal and was letting her pretty much play it all by herself. The max tickets to win was 400 then 200 and etc. About the second case she opened she opened the 400 case, and Jon thought it wasn't going to go very well, but she went all the way and ended up winning 200 tickets!
she was pretty excited
really excited
At night they have a Story Time, out by the clock tower that I was talking about earlier. Sof was pretty impressed with the talking animals.
After the little show of the animals, a lady came out and read them a story.
Then they had a wolf come out and give them a hug good night.
Sofia of course wouldn't get close enough, but she did wave.

vacation part 1

Jaedon had his Spring Break this week and Jon was on a rotation that allowed a week of vacation, so we took advantage of it. We got talked into going to a time share presentation at Bass Pro Shop one day, and they had Branson Missouri as one of the options to vacation to. It is about a 6.5 hour drive and is in the Ozark Mountains. It was so pretty there.
The registration/check-in building

waiting for dad to get us checked in

this was the lobby inside. A fun little table of Linkin Logs and a skeleton of a mammoth. We then made our way to our Lodge/hotel room. This is what greeted us in the lobby. Sof had to wave to it every time too. and this is what greeted us in our room. A raccoon...
and a mounted deer
there was a lot of free or complimentary things to do there as well. We first hit up the miniature golf...(Notice the huge fish) the last hole was inside the fish.
lots of playground areas
lots of room to run
and lots of pool time. All of them took a little while to get used to the water and swimming again.
This wasn't free, but we thought the kids would enjoy it. A pony ride!
Sof didn't ride, and left on the hat only long enough to get this picture.
paddle boats
and a canoe ride.
We were all going to go, but when I got in the canoe, I felt a little too unsteady, so Sof and I hung out on the dock.
and again more swimming
They had this water fall that went from our Lodge down to a little pond area near another lodge. When driving in, to get to the check-in building you drive across the waterfall a couple of times. It was pretty awesome.
and no, we did not get a time share. They made it very enticing though.

baseball begins

I guess baseball is huge here in Nebraska. To kickoff the season they have an "opening ceremony". The kids get to parade into the gym and then they have a carnival afterwards full of games with prizes, clowns that make balloon creatures and paint faces, bouncy houses, and free lunch of hot dogs, chips, and drinks and you could go back as many times as you wanted. A local news anchorman announced the teams as well. And then of course they had a first pitch. Their hats are even official MLB hats. Jaedon's team is the Cardinals. (Jaedon is the last one, of the last red team, with the gray pants, in front of the coach. The one that waves at the end)

(Jaedon is actually number 7. For some reason his name got skipped when printing the names on the back)

He missed his first practice and game. The practice was rained out, and then we went on vacation and missed the game. But he had one today and did really well. More posts to come of vacation and game later.

easter has sprung

This past Saturday the weather was absolute perfect! Well, actually, it was a little too hot for me. But at the Base Clinic they had an Easter Party with activities, games and a balloon lady. And of course an Easter egg hunt.
Sorry, a bit blurry on these next ones. This was as close as Sof would get to the Easter bunny. She may have even been further back if it wasn't for the rail.
I love this one. It is like Livy is giving Sof some good secret strategy of getting the eggs. Must of done some good.
And my favorite part; Easter means spring, which then brings summer, which of course brings WATERMELON!! This is another big craving while pregnant.

Happy Spring!

dress up

**update**: So after writing my last post I have finally realized something about myself. I am an emotional person. Granted I don't show it very much and hold a lot of things in, I am emotional. Pregnant or not pregnant. I always wondered where we got Jaedon sometimes, because he is an emotional and sensitive kid. He just takes after his mom.
Livy is the dress up QUEEN! If I get her dressed in the morning, she shortly will be downstairs getting some sort of dress up on. (I think I am going to give up on getting her dressed.) Lately they have been either her gymnastics outfits, or dance outfits. We even went and picked Jaedon up from school yesterday in a leotard (which was way too small), and a tutu. I didn't have the energy to make her change.
(This particular outfit is a little big, and she just wears this one when the other gymnastic outfit is dirty.)
