little jack

Their first meetingThis little girl LOVES the baby
Wow! Our family of 6.
All boys
Now for the birth story. So if you don't care for that stuff, scroll on down and enjoy some more pictures. First of all, Jon works with my Dr. and we had agreed that Jon would be able to deliver the baby as long as everything was going smoothly. We'll start with the day before at my OB appointment. My Dr. was going to be out of town from the 4th -11th of Sept. (due date was the 10th). I wanted her to be there and she wanted to be there for the birth as well. So at my appt. she checked me and said I was 4cm dilated and 50% effaced. She then gave me an "aggressive check" which means she stripped my membranes. Of course she told me that I would have some crampiness due to it. Well, no crampiness pretty much all day. So that night I went for a long walk, among other "personal" things that were done to try and get this kiddo out. Because lets be honest, I was done with being pregnant at 31 weeks. Still nothing when I went to bed that night, but at 2am I woke up with some contractions and sat up on the side of the bed, and just like it happened with Jaedon, I felt like I had just wet my pants. I then hurried into the bathroom and more fluid came out. Jon kind of woke up by then because I had turned the light on and thought I might as well start getting ready for the hospital. Jon didn't really believe me that my water had broke, and fell back asleep for a little bit. We got to the hospital at about 3:15am and when they checked me I was 6cm dilated and about 90% effaced. So I was excited because things were moving. Got the epidural and around 6:30am they checked me again and I was only at a 7. A SEVEN! That put a downer on things for me. So now we will be playing the waiting game even longer. Jon actually had an OB patient next door that delivered on Monday, so he thought he would hurry and go round on her and get her discharge paper work done since things seemed to slow down. By 7:30 I was starting to feel contractions just on my left side really strongly, and my right side was completely dead. So the nurse turned me to my left side and then that is when it all started. The contractions were coming fast and strong. I was getting nauseated and then my Dr. arrived. She decided she would go get changed while the nurse gave me something for nausea, and Jon was still no where around. I then asked the nurse if she had found Jon yet. Shortly after Jon came in and instead of waiting for the doctor to come back and check me, I just had Jon do it. So Jon checked me and I was complete and ready to go. They got me all set up, and with 2 sets of pushes out our little man came. Both Jon and I thought at first that his looks reminded us of Sofia. But the more I looked at him I thought he definitely looked more like Livy. He and Livy definitely have the same eyes. But I think his nose is more like Jaedon and Sofia's nose. I was surprised that he had hair and that it was dark. I thought it would be lighter and not have hardly any. He is our smallest baby by an ounce. Jaedon was 8 lbs 3 oz. But he is definitely our longest baby. He is such a good baby and hardly cries. We are so blessed to have this little guy apart of our family. We couldn't be more happier.
Of course I had to have a little photo shoot with him.

This shirt should actually read "Daddy rocks", because Jon has been such an awesome husband and help since I have been home. He has been doing everything and just letting me relax and sleep. :) Love you Sweets!
