Livy's six

Saturday we celebrated our sweet Livy girl's sixth birthday.
All she wanted was American Girl Doll (Our Generation-Target) clothes and accessories. But I guess she did want this electronic password Journal. Which has definitely been worth the money.
She wanted to decorate her own cake this year. And she went to town! She wanted to go to the beach for her birthday, but it was a down pour all day long. So she decided to make a beach cake.
She has her boardwalk, the fish in the sea, sea shells and rocks, and fruit snack people.
She is growing up becoming such a beautiful young girl. She loves her family and can't wait to be a mom! Which also makes her a very good helper. Love this girl and so glad that she is a part of our lives.

2 years old

Yesterday we celebrated Jack's 2nd birthday.
He loves bubbles and so we got him a bubble machine gun. (Which doesn't work very well). But he still loved it.
Another thing he has loved is lawnmowers.
When we were out to Utah for the summer he would not put them down. And he would always fight over our neighbors one as well. So now he has his very own and has been using it like a pro.
I know these pictures are blurry, but the kid did not want to smile too much for the camera. So these are the only ones I was able to capture on camera.
I wasn't sure what to do for his cake and was asking Jon what he thought I should do. He suggested minion cupcakes. So minion cupcakes it was!

 And they were quite yummy.
Love this little dude, and can't believe how fast they grow up.

sofia starts preschool

This little sassy mama started preschool today. She was beyond excited!! When we went to orientation yesterday all of the other kids were shy and timid around the teachers, and Sofia was just grinning ear to ear.
This morning when I dropped her off she just jumped right out of the car and was ready to go! No looking back, until the teacher made her turn around and say goodbye.
When I picked her up she was still grinning ear to ear. Love our little Sofi-bops.
I don't think Jack knew what to do with himself. It was pretty quiet around the house.

livy on 2 wheels

Last night we were all outside and Livy came up to me asking to take her training wheels off. I was quite hesitant and just moved the training wheels up higher. But when Livy got on her bike it didn't seem to make any difference. They were still touching the ground. So, I tried telling Livy to just ride around for awhile on them like that, but she shortly came asking again to take them off. I don't why I do it, but I then gave her horror stories of scraping her arms and legs up if she falls. But she still was pretty persistent of having them off. So off they came.
The girl took off right away! She had it down in no time!
I'm not sure if you can see Livy's expression and Jon's. But if you had any doubt of who she takes after, I think you can see it in this picture. She is her Fathers child.

 One happy super woman princess!

first day of school

The day has finally come that these 2 cute kiddos get to start school.
 So excited to start Kindergarten!
Couldn't be happier to be in 3rd grade!
Jack-boy wanted in on the action as well. Has to always be doing what the older ones are doing.
I think this might be what they were most excited about. To finally get to ride a bus. When we lived in Nebraska Jaedon told me the next place we lived he wanted to ride the bus.
They are so cute together and I was worried that Livy may not be able to find her class after getting off the bus at school. So I asked her last night if she wanted me to meet her at school and help her find her room. Jaedon immediately piped in and said, "I can take her to her class! I remember where it was at." Love that he is such a good brother and wants to help out and watches over his siblings.

a lost tooth

This girl is growing up too fast! She lost her first tooth last night with a "little" help from mom. All right, I  pretty much ripped the thing out. She kept complaining about it though and every night would have Jon try to get it out. It was very wiggly and loose, but had kind of a long root on it, and it didn't want to come out. So unfortunately her first experience with losing a tooth was painful and some tears were shed. But she was a happy girl when she woke up and found what the tooth fairy had brought.

jaedon's baptism

Jaedon was baptized today, and we had quite the day filled with fun events. Jaedon has been wanting and wanting to go on a boat. So we rented a boat through the base and headed out into the open sea. The kids loved it, and we mostly spent our time in the bayou and swam around in it. It was wonderful all around.

These next photos are of a little shoot that we did last week. While editing pictures you can see all the details of people. :) And while editing Jaedon's I realized how much he has grown and matured. He's not my little buddy anymore.

Jaedon was baptized and confirmed by Jon. My parents were able to come and so we put them to work. :) My mom said the opening prayer and played the piano, and my dad gave a talk on baptism and the Holy Ghost. Besides ourselves the were 2 other families that came that we have gotten to know in the ward, 2 members of the bishopric, and someone from the primary presidency. We did miss other family members and especially Scott and Claudia that weren't able to make it. (Dang living far away from everyone).

We then came home and celebrated with some pizza sticks and root beer floats and a little movie.
It was a wonderful day and we are so happy with Jaedon's decision to be baptized. He is such a wonderful boy with a heart full of love.
