OBX

We have arrived!
We got there before we were able to check in and get the keys, so we headed down to the beach to check it out. Jaedon loved it! Livy and Sof weren't too sure about it.
We saw a lot of Light Houses while we were out there as well. This first one was a little disappointing. It was Bodie Island Light Station, and it was under some construction.
But they had this little walking area to look out over this little swampy area.
More time at the beach
This is what Jon thought of the beach...
This is what I thought about the beach...until I got sun burnt.
Don't you love that blue sky!?
I felt pretty bad. Jon took Sofia back to the house, and then like 5 minutes later we saw some dolphins. It was pretty awesome. Sorry Sweets.
The house had a pool and hot tub as well, and that was a pretty big hit. Although the pool was not heated, but felt good on the hot days.
At night we went and saw all the crabs coming out
This one was actually pretty big
Our last day there we went down to Cape Hatteras, and Ocracoke Island. We had to take a Ferry to get to Ocracoke and the kids loved it! The down side though was we had to wait a while to get onto the ferry.
Don't fall over board...
Sof was living it up!
There were all of these little huts out in the ocean. So I zoomed in to check out what they were. They are little, well big, bird house/nest type thingies.
This is the Ocracoke Light House, and it is the second oldest light house still in use.
This is the Cape Hatteras Light House, and is the tallest in the U.S. It was definitely quite tall too. They actually moved this light house as well, because its original location it was starting to get corrosion.
(I love Livy's hair in this picture! It was quite windy the whole time there.)

This was definitely a much needed vacation and I would recommend it to anyone!

Okay,I need to walk across the room and see more of your pictures, isn't it sad that I see them first on my computer when I am sitting in the same room as you are. Thanks for letting us stay. We can't wait for all of the fun we are going to have this week!

Whatever, it doesn't look like the same haircut you get every time, it looks shorter this time and more A-lineish. That probably isn't a word :) Anyway it is cute, now you are going to have to find a new hair cutter.

Liv's hair is pretty awesome in that pic. Jaedon's cheeks must hurt from all that smiling.
